Tormenting rains,

Gusts of winds,

Uprooted soil,

STILL, the tree survives,

You ask me, but how?

Depleting oxygen,

Damp wick,

And, the last matchstick,

STILL, the candle burns,

You ask me, but how?

8 months pregnant,

Premature baby,

Painful labour hours,

STILL, the mother breathes,

You ask me, but how?

A phone call a day,

The long delayed meeting,

The never ending anticipation,

Of feeling each other's arms, again,

STILL, the lovers love,

You ask me, but how?

3 Years of rigorous study,

Just for one exam,

It turns out to be a bit rough,

STILL , the boy makes it,

You ask me, but how?

Ruthless deforestation,

Untamed pollution,

Unauthorised exploitation,

STILL, the earth blooms,

You ask me, but how?

Crazy Tsunamis,

Destroying Cyclones,

Devastating Floods,

STILL the rainbow spreads it's colours,

You ask me, but how?

I smile,

And ask you to look within,

Within yourself,

Within your pure heart,

And ask you again,

"Do you see the Tiny Ray,

Struggling to shine, 

Amidst all the hatred and negative thoughts?"

That is the answer to your question..

The Tiny Ray of HOPE is what makes the world go round!

That's my message to everyone, that never ever choose Fear over Hope. Cuz once you let fear overpower, never can you win against it. Let the Tiny Ray spread it's wings, and fly, and grow, like the rainbow and provide hope to all those who need it, in different forms and colours.
