No Bake Cake! :)

It's a very easy yet tasty recepie! I thought let me just share it with you people! :))

4 packets Glucose biscuits
1 cup chocolate icing
1/2 tsp. coffee powder
1/2 cup warm water
1 packet Gems

Chocolate Icing:
50 gm. butter
2 tbsp. cocoa powder
1/2 cup icing sugar
1-2 tsp. water
1 cup crushed walnuts

Beat all the ingredients of chocolate icing together to a smooth, creamy consistency. Add a little water if required.

Next spread a little of this icing on a plate. Mix the coffee powder in the warm water and dip the biscuits in it, one at a time and stick to the plate, forming a square. Cover the biscuits with a layer of chocolate icing. Sprinkle the walnuts. Repeat the same with all the biscuits, making several layers. Cover the topmost layer, the sides and the top with icing. Decorate with Gems. Let it cool for about an hour. Then serve.

Alone I sit,
With the candles lit,
Perched prettily,
On our favourite seat,
Waiting in the bountiful meadow,
For my prince charming to come..

Alone I roam,
Picturing the white tomb,
Built in the name of love..
Sighing and sulking,
Stomping and brooding
I count my pearls thrice in a row!

Still upset, I lie down,
The cool grass brushing my gown,
Slowly I wipe away the frown,
And enter my dreamy town!

I am the countess,
With thousands of suitors,
Vying and dying to be my belove.
But I, fidgeting with my glove,
Wait for my one and only true love..

My patience is rewarded,
As my knight is shining armour,
Comes swiftly yet steadily,
Sweeps me off my feet,
And declares his undying love..

Still in his arms,
And riding through the farms,
On his graceful horse,
Sprinting with unnerving force,
Yet not feeling the bump,
We gallop and jump,
And ride past the thousand suitors,
Who now seem like sugar lumps..

We reach 'our' meadow,
It seems, as if on earth,
There's a heaven's window..
We sit on the berth,
His hand in mine,
We solemnly sit sipping the sparkling wine.

As the twilight dawns,
The place is mysteriously lit,
With deers and fawns,
As if, they were made to fit..

As I am happily wondering,
His smile is mischievously dazzling,
I am suddenly blindfolded,
The vanishing act, is, magically enchanted!

As the satin is unfolded,
The meadow is bewitched,
There are tables and chairs,
And perhaps, laid down for us..

He leads me to one,
And says, "I love you, hon",
I blush, a beetroot red,
And a peck on my cheek,
Is enough for me,
To flush, from toe to head..

We wine and dine,
And everything's fine,
It all feels so perfect!

A gust of wind,
A shower of rain,
Brings me back to the present,
I shiver, I think,
I watch the glowing crescent,
Slowly peeping from the heaven's brink,
And, I wake up from my deep slumber.

I am not sad,
Neither am I mad,
Coz' my mesmerising reverie,
Has once again made my mind free,
With all the thoughts,
And the ruthless doubts..

Ah! The sweet day-dream,
You have given me a dash of hope,
Topped with whipped cream,
That someday, sometime,
The bewitching reverie,
Will take the form of reality!

noun 1 a daydream. 2 Music an instrumental piece suggesting a dreamy or musing state.

— ORIGIN Old French, ‘rejoicing, revelry’, from rever ‘be delirious’.

I used it in the first sense.

Whoa, Vinod read my poem, and he thought that it had a bit of a bitter ending! So, he just modified the ending it a bit. He thought it was mean of the guy to not come in the end! :P

That's his part, it's just added to the poem:

"As I was getting up,

Did I see something there?

Was I just imagining,

Or could he be really there?

I looked again to see that, mystery could not prevail,

My dream had indeed turned into real!"

Self Tagged! LOL! :D Actually INDIRECTLY Annie had tagged me.. ;)

I am Different. Weird. Funny. A Bookworm!

I think A lot. About everything. AND at the wrong time. I would never think before making a so called wise decision. Or the ones which change your lives. BUT I will think when the teacher is teaching.. :P
I know : That I am NOW fat. That I should stop abusing so much!
I want Be my thin self again and be the most successfulperson on this planet. :D
I have : The most amazing friends EVER!
I wish : I was a bit prettier. Or self-confidence.
I hate : Two faced people. BE what you are.
I miss : Determination.
I fear : Losing all the people I love. Lizards. Creepy insects and people.
I hear : Everything. Even if you are whispering to someone, I WILL HEAR it!
I smell : Dhania chutney..ooh! The sweet-sour one!
I crave : Ice- cream.Gol-gappas. and RIGHT now, A McD burger. :(
I search : Google, Wikipedia. Encyclopedia. My e-mail (for lost mails :P) for anything and everything. I have this weird habit of doing an IMAGE search of everything I search about. Somehow it gives a nice feeling.. ;)

I TOLD you I was weird.
I wonder : Where and how will I end up.
I regret : in the short run, many things. But in the long run, Nothing. Because I stronglybelieve in "jo hota hai acche keliye hota hai" ("whatever happens, happens for the good!")
I love : Vinod. Dogs. Books. Animals. My school. Harry Potter. My friends. My family. FOOD! Clothes. My College. My accessories.
I ache : everywhere. LOL! Nothing, really.
I was not : Born to be bounded by someone, or someone else'sthought.
I am not : Sissy. Cranky. Pretty.
I cry : When I fight with someone I truly value. When I read books. Sometimes, when I see movies.
I believe : in Love. In all the stars above. Who shine to guide us through darkness.
I dance : Like a maniac. As if I have taken 7-8 Vodka shots. Neat.
I sing : in the bathroom. And when I want to piss of my sister.
I read EVERYTHING! I am not kidding. Newspapers. Books. Blogs. E-mails. Little chits that people pass around. Scribblings on the walls. Websites. EVERYTHING! not course books, though.
I don't always : Fight. Like everyone thinks that I am this female gundi! I do it because it's not in me to sit around and keep taking the injustice around me. That's WHY I shout.
I fight for justice. And with hurling a lot of abuses.
I write Letters. Blog Posts. Now, A Poem too. Anything I feel about actually.
I win : Every fight with Vinod. :P
I lose : Some fights. WHEN Vinod cheats and makes those I-am-just-a-baby-with-a-cute-face-and-big-puppy-eyes. HUH! I don't like this!
I never : eat Cola flavoured ice-lolly.

I always : Take Iced-Tea when I go to Mc Donalds. And grab an opportunity to do a katta.

I confuse : Aloo Chaat with Aloo Tikki. I have had to eat Aloo Chaat instead of Aloo Tikki hundreds of times because of it. OR wait..was it Aloo tikki I wanted to have...? :|

I listen : To music. To what other people say.

I can usually be found : In my room! DUH!

I am scared : Of failing my exams.. GRRR!

I need : Motivation for everything!

I am happy : So?

I imagine: the sun was people fall in words nail paints are made.. Everything.

I Tag everyone! It's a nice pastime and a nice way to revive your blog! :P

L o v e..

I am going to present my very first normal poem. As in normal from my standards. I have taken a lot of pains in writing this, so don't be too harsh on criticising it. I am NOT a poet, so consider this before you read. AND, maybe your 3 year old niece could whip out something better than this..but still, thnx to many people's motivation I am taking this step! :)
I name my poem it the easiest, yet most difficult to express..

Love, for me is like,
Two petals of a flower,
Bound tightly,
Parted slightly,
You cannot fathom it's power..

Born as a bud,
They rise from the mud,
Beautifully and gracefully,
They may part in the near future,
Only to meet again..

Their souls are entwined,
Destinies intertwined,
and unlike mankind,
They leave all their sorrows behind..

They smile as the sun shines,
Dance in the bright rainbow,
Flutter in the frost snow,
Twitter in the hot weather,
but never do they turn bitter..

Even when their life ends,
They are smiling,
They fall together,
Not breaking the phenomenon,
They start afresh together,
and remain in love forever..

P.S. I dedicate this poem to Shreya, my bestie, forever.. Who taught me to love! Whatever may happen, I will love you always! :)

Happy Birthday to me, Thnx to my Friends!

Before I start, I would like to introduce some of my friends:
Vinod- My Boyfriend
Kshitij, Sanchita, Shweta, Ritika, Prateek - MY Cabbies, College buddies, who had wished me @ 12 in the night itself (u will know why I am mentioning this later!)

WOW! I have never had such a wonderful birthday! Birthdays somehow always had a gloomy image for me. I have a reason too, on your birthday you are the gracious host , attending to people you meet twice a year (once on your birthday, once on theirs), listening to everyone on this planet and painfully smiling! HOW can it be a HAPPY Birthday? So, this time I thought, let me relax, have fun on my own, sit back and watch some movies! All was well , and according to my plan, until 5:30 in the evening! My boyfriend had a 7 hour test that day and he had just returned, so I thought of meeting him. I go, meet him, observe that he is fidgety but do not guess WHY! I think it's because of the test..and shut the case. Suddenly, my phone beeps, saying that I have received a message. I wonder who is it, wishing me now..and to my surprise it's Kshitij's says "Soda Lemon, ginger pop, chilli and pepper I am so hot, guess the place and come here" I am like, WHAT? What is this? I guess it wrong..he messages back the right answer , it's Spice Mall in Noida. I go there. I am instructed to wait at the entrance. I am still bewildered! Suddenly Shweta comes and gives me a piece of paper.. I am like..WHAT? is going on? It has a clue on it! And so begins my journey..I solved the clue..went to that place..i see Sanchita..she gives me a gift..and Clue no. 2..and so on..i meet Ritika, Kshitij, Prateek, Sanchita over and over again with different gifts at different places!

They had organised a treasure hunt for me..WOW! with 18 clues..and 18 gifts..including 4 harry old! :P and many more gifts! :) But the best was my 18Th gift, which   I couldn't guess for a long time! SHIT! AND I was so embarrassed after I had!!

It was Vinod! :D :P :) :">

Happy Valentine's Day!

Before I start, I would like to share a beautiful quote with you:

Young love is a flame; very pretty, often very hot and fierce, but still only light and flickering. The love of the older and disciplined heart is as coals, deep-burning, unquenchable.

- Henry Ward Beecher

Well, I have to say a lot of things, but I couldn't find something to bind it.

We all know something or the other about the history, civics, geography about V-day, but not everything! So I thought maybe I should take the initiative and make the picture more clear!

History Aspect:

Valentine's Day or Saint Valentine's Day is a holiday celebrated on February 14 by many people throughout the world. In the West, it is the traditional day on which lovers express their love for each other by sending Valentine's cardspresenting flowers, or offering confectionery. The day was originally a pagan festival that was renamed after two Early Christian martyrsnamed Valentine. The day became associated with romantic love in the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer in the High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished.

Political Aspect (In India) :

I am not going to give facts or statistical information which can be quoted. I am just going to give an overview and of course MY view of what's the meaning of Valentine's day to some of our political "leaders". (YES! It' is time to bash Sri Ram Sene!) :P

There has never been a positive response from our loooooser leaders about this day. Since the time I have started reading newspapers, watching news channels, there has always been some problem or the other with the "loser leaders". From clicking pictures of couples in parks and sending them to their parents , to beating the guy, to now, stripping girls, in the name of our "CULTURE".  I am a kannadiga and I cannot tell you how ashamed I am of this Pramod Muthalik! I am all for preserving our country's culture and heritage, but I do not understand, what's the harm in embracing western culture? Don't they celebrate Diwali and Holi? Should we go and bash them also? For embracing our rituals and traditions?

There is something burning inside me , which I so badly want to ask these people, who are the nation's leaders, everytime something like this happens.

Do you know why our nation is still termed "developing" inspite of the overflowing intelligence, minerals, resources, talent, land mass, population? And why small countries like France, who don't even have water of their own are termed "developed"?

I know! Because all of this is wasted in moral policing and after that stopping those self appointed moral policemen! If only Mr. Pramod Muthalik had thought of NOT tolerating the terrorism and going and beating them up, the country will be a better place to live in. Oops! I forgot what a coward he is! He would pee in his pants than go and fight for a GOOD cause. I cannot believe what a bully, coward, shit faced he is! Stripping woman is a part of his culture! If only he used his pea-sized brains for something constructive! If you don’t give women their due status and respect in the society, how will the nation develop? How will we be EVER able to rub shoulders with US of A? Even in the times of recession, the country has not lost it’s foothold and dignity! How will we ever stop brain drain, if the national issue is limited to why some poor girls go pubbing?

"We are going to protest against Valentine's Day. We have been opposing it not just this time but have been opposing it for the last 10 years. Let them celebrate it in the church -- not outside in society. They can do this in their church or in their homes. We are also requesting those printing Valentine's Day cards not to do so this time"

That's the limit of his brains! IS THIS A NATIONAL ISSUE? I don’t understand one thing, where do these people get these ideas from? Is there a secret United Nations conference for dumb-asses like him and Raj Thackerey? Where do they get money to execute all this? As if Mr. Muthalik was not enough, Baba Ramdev also started attending  the secret UN conference for dumb-asses. Just now, I saw his “press conference” for Valentine ’s Day! He has problems with Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, AND BIRTHDAY celebrations at 12 in the night! WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM? No one celebrates your birthday, huh? My god! Only if all this was done for the terrorists, who REALLY pose a threat to our country and not a bunch of harmless girls pubbing! Only if all this was done to stop hundreds and thousands of INNOCENT people dying! And now the slug faced wants to gift us sarees! If my facts are not wrong, Saree is the most sensual form of garment ever invented! Nothing flatters a body more than a saree! Why don’t you wear a lungi, mister? Maybe when his goons catch hold of HIS daughter, then he will understand.

Phew, sorry, got carried away. But I feel good, very good! :P I hope something happens to him (read: heart attack) when he sees those pink chaddis! And I hope each one of us gets our V-day gift from him, the pink sarees. Not a bad colour! :)

My take on Love, Valentine’s day and all:

Somehow, love always reminds me of a flower, as in how the petals make place for each one to grow gracefully and beautifully by making compromises, but not portraying it as an effort. I think Love is also something like each other his/her due place and respect, yet being one.

And Valentine’s day is yet another day to celebrate this happy and graceful bonding.

And I am going now, as Chandler is going to propose Monica in this episode! Lol!

BUT Before I end, another quote:

Love has no desire but to fulfill itself.  But if you love and must needs have desires, let these be your desires;  To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night.  To know the pain of too much tenderness.  To be wounded by your own understanding of love;  And to bleed willingly and joyfully.

- Kahlil Gibran, The Prophet
